Jubilation as Edo State Workers get their 7months arrears paid yesterday

The number of unpaid months is totalled at 17 months out of which seven months were paid to them yesterday
Finally Edo State workers recieve their seven months salary.
According to Vanguardngr yesterday, the state House of Assembly at the Egor Local Government Council, secretariat, Edo State,  announced the payment of seven months salaries to staff of the council by the local government authorities.

Remember that the state House of Assembly had adopted a resolution which mandated the state government to source for N366,467,000.00 from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to pay workers in Egor council from the bailout fund.
The number of unpaid months is totalled at 17 months out of which seven months were paid to them yesterday. The workers were very happy yesterday.

The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Justin Okonoboh, said that all workers owed in the state would be paid and further urged them to maintain peace as the House liaises with the authorities of the councils to ensure that they get their salaries.
